Newborn Support Package
In-home newborn care for South Jersey families
You brought the baby home. Someone weighed them, handed you a folder, and sent you on your way. The Newborn Support Package puts a pediatric nurse practitioner in your living room during the eight weeks when the questions actually come up.

The first eight weeks are the hardest to get answers in
Your pediatrician only sees the baby at a few scheduled checkpoints and for 15 minutes at a time. In between, you are trying to work everything else out yourself.
Most questions are not emergencies and they are not nothing. They are exactly the kind of thing that is easy to answer through a text or a quick video chat.
Who you are getting
Marie Udell is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner and a certified breastfeeding specialist. She started her career in the NICU caring for premature and fragile infants, and she is a mother of three.
The feeding support and the clinical assessment come from the same person, in your home, at the same visit. You are not booking a lactation consultant and a weight check separately.
What the eight weeks actually look like
Most of it is not the visit
The in-home visit is the part that is easy to picture, and it is not the part most families end up valuing. What they use is the text thread.
- Week one. Feeding, weight, and whether the yellow in your baby's face is worth a phone call. Usually the visit lands here.
- Weeks two to four. The questions get smaller and more frequent. Is this rash normal. Is this much spit-up normal. Is this amount of sleep normal.
- Weeks five to eight. Things settle, and the questions turn into decisions: going back to work, starting a bottle, whether a routine is a routine yet.
None of that is eight weeks of appointments. It is eight weeks of being able to ask, which is a different product from a visit and the reason the package is priced as one thing rather than per hour.
In your own home
Seen where they actually live
A newborn behaves differently in a clinic than at home, and so do you. Doing the visit in your own front room means we see the real setup: your chair, your bottles, your pump, the way the baby actually feeds at 3am rather than a tidied version of it. Do not forget that you are recovering too. This package is meant to let you stay put and get answers from your own home, instead of stressing and googling all night.
It also means nobody is packing a two-week-old into a car seat to sit in a waiting room, which in the first eight weeks is worth more than it sounds.
How to get started
Book online
Choose the newborn package when you book. If the baby has not arrived yet, that is fine, plenty of families arrange it ahead of time.
Complete your forms
Intake forms and consent paperwork come to you, so the first visit is spent on your baby rather than on paperwork.
We come to you
The visit happens at home, on your sofa, with your own bottles and your own chair. Text access starts right away.
FAQs
Do I need to be in South Jersey?
Yes. The Newborn Support Package includes in-home visits, so it is available to families in South Jersey only. Text and telemedicine support is available to families anywhere in New Jersey, and that is a separate membership.
When should I book?
The package covers the first eight weeks after birth, and the sooner it starts the more useful it is. Feeding and weight questions tend to arrive in the first two weeks. You are also welcome to arrange it while you are still pregnant, and plenty of families do.
How many visits are included?
One to two in-home visits, depending on clinical need, plus direct text access to us for follow-up questions through the whole eight weeks.
What happens after eight weeks?
Nothing has to happen. If you want ongoing access after the package ends, it can roll into the monthly membership, but that is your choice and not a condition of booking.
Do you take insurance?
No. Pricing is flat and up front, and the package is $350. You should keep your health insurance: it still covers emergencies, hospital stays, specialists, prescriptions, and lab work.
Can this be given as a gift?
Yes, and it often is. It is a common baby shower gift from family who want to give something more useful than another set of onesies.
What do I need to have ready for the visit?
Nothing in particular. Whatever you already feed and change your baby with is what we want to see, because the point of coming to your house is seeing the real setup rather than a tidied version of it.
What if my baby was premature or has medical needs?
Say so when you book. Our founder began her career in the NICU caring for premature and fragile infants, but some situations belong with your pediatrician or a specialist and we will tell you plainly if yours is one of them.
Is the second visit guaranteed?
The package includes one to two in-home visits depending on clinical need, not on how the first one goes. If one visit and text access covers it, that is a good outcome rather than a short measure.
What Families Say
From parents who have texted at 10pm
★★★★★
Marie has been an absolute game changer for our family. When I reached out, my 8-month-old was still waking every 3 hours to eat, and within just a few days of working with Marie, she was sleeping through the night. I honestly wish I had hired her sooner. She's knowledgeable, responsive, and truly cares. I always felt like I had someone in my corner. I can't recommend her enough!
★★★★★
Where to begin? As a second time mom, I had most of the "things" I needed for my baby but what I didn't have was the support I found in Marie. I look at this service as investing in myself as a mother. Having someone to help with sleep questions, milestones or the 1-2 transition was so helpful. When that someone is also a medical professional who provides advice backed in data, it's really just the best of both worlds. A lot of the online world can feel very superficial but Marie is very much a normal mom who wants the best for her clients.
★★★★★
Marie is seriously the best! Always available to help answer any question with compassion, knowledge, and a realistic approach. She has such a unique point of view with her medical background and motherhood experience which really creates the best realistic advice!
★★★★★
As a mom, I'm so grateful for Marie. She's knowledgeable, compassionate and shares practical trustworthy advice that helps parents feel confident. Always kind, responsive and real about motherhood, such a wonderful resource.
